About

Linde’s Electrolyzer Building in Niagara Falls was the first of its kind in the U.S. It housed seven sets of electrolyzers and rectifiers. They used river water from the Niagara River to create liquid hydrogen.

The pre-engineered metal building was designed to support 350 tons of cable tray and pipe loading. The building had a strong ventilation system. It had fourteen roof exhaust fans and a wall of louvers. Another challenge was to design a removable exterior wall. It needed to allow for future equipment maintenance.
