About
Tedesco Construction partnered with Wendel to develop a data center in Barker, NY, located on the site of a former coal power plant. The facility operates using zero-carbon resources for 91% of its energy needs.
The building features a hybrid design, incorporating a standard steel frame for primary support alongside a pre-engineered secondary frame and coverings. The sidewalls are equipped with louvers to facilitate the intake of cool air, which is essential for regulating the temperature of the computers that operate continuously. Initially, the project scope included two buildings, but the decision was made during construction to add a third building.
